Welcome to the Vintage and Classic Caravans section of the website. This is a section which seems to go from strength to strength rising from only a few exhibitors two or three years ago to over thirty last year with a similar number expected again this year.

The ages of the exhibitors (caravans - not owners!!) range from the 1920's through to the relatively modern with perhaps a tendency towards the 50's, 60's and 70's as these were expanding ownership decades as disposable incomes expanded.

Many of our exhibitors tow their caravan with a matching appropriately aged car which adds to the period feel of the event and perhaps leaving you wondering just how fast is a 1935 Morris Eight towing a caravan up a hill!!!

The caravan, and its offshoot, the motor home (or Dormobile or camper van or whatever you want to call it) encompasses the social spectrum from home made to bespoke luxury and here at Kemble you will see both ends of that spectrum including some home builts based on unusual cars - keep your eyes open!!

Whether you love 'em or hate 'em you have to admit it is always intriguing to look inside and see how other people spend their holiday time, so come along and have a peek - they may even be brewing up!!
