Back in the earlier days of the Gloucestershire Steam Extravaganza, when we had just moved to Kemble, Classic Plant and Machinery were featured in and around the Steam Section.
After a few years it had grown into a section of its own, but sadly due to a variety of reasons it dropped off the radar as the steam side of things started to increase.
2012 will see a display of Classic Plant returning to the Steam Extravaganza as part of the steam section once again. It is just an experiment to start with and is set to be as much a static display as anything else. However big things grow from little acorns and it is hoped that over the next few years we can once again build the display up into a section proper again.
With this in mind, we would welcome any exhibit into the 2012 event that you feel worthy of inclusion. Be it a display of hand tools, dumper truck, cement mixer right up to the bigger items like Motor Rollers, JCB's, Graders etc. If you think it fits, then drop a line to our Steam Steward Matt S (Contact), and we can get the ball well and truly rolling.
