Can you remember your first car?

Ever wish you had kept hold of it?

No?

Well think again because the chances are that if your first car was a couple of years old, and you are currently above the age of 25 that said car could well now be considered a classic!

It possibly all sounds a little far fetched, but think again.

Take a look around the expected  600+

Vintage, Veteran and classic cars that
have been assembled for you at this years
event, we promise you that you will soon be reminiscing and getting all nostalgic about something that you once, or very nearly did own !

Each year the event attracts more and more classic car clubs – with some regarding this show as their major annual gathering of members. Huge interest is being generated by the Daimler & Lanchester Owners' Club, with over 60 vehicles on display. On its stand, a Daimler Dart (SP250) sports car will sit alongside pre-war Daimler saloons and coupes and an exciting exhibit (undisclosed) from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust museum at Jaguar Cars, Coventry. The club will also be launching a “bring & buy” sale for spares.

2007 introduced American cars to the classic car section. It proved an instant hit with visitors; we are delighted to welcome back some existing and new entries including: a 1950 Studebaker-3 Passenger and a 1928 Studebaker Commander Big 6 – which has been imported from New York. A 1929 Cadillac 341B Limo, 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback, Chrysler 1977 Sedan, 1937 Packard Convertible Coupe and a 1939 Plymouth T7.

Ben Smith, the shows vintage car director, says: "This will easily be the largest display of classic and vintage cars we've had at the show with over 800 in attendance. We're particularly pleased to welcome new car classic car clubs onboard and some fantastic classic American vehicles."

Perhaps the oldest and certainly the rarest motor car at the show will be a 1904 CGV Side Entrance. Production of this French car began in 1901 and continued to 1930. CGV were the initials of the three principals in the firm, Fernand Charron, Leonce Girardot and Carl Voigt. This particular vehicle having taken part in the annual London to Brighton runs no fewer than 36 times!

Other highlights will include a 1939 Delage D675 Vita Sport (imported from a Dutch museum), a 1955 Rolls Royce Silver Dawn, a 1926 Morris Cowley, a 1934 Austin 16 Berkeley, Austin 7 Ruby, a 1923 Model T Ford, a 1933 Vauxhall Cadet Coupe (one of only two in existence!) and a very rare 1921 Itala Tipo 50B. The Itala’s were predominant in the early 1920’s and at the Targa Florio races. Plus new to the show a 1954 Ford Zodiac used in BBC TV Drama “Heartbeat” by Nick Berry as a police car.
